We’ve a soft spot for spy thrillers, and this scrapes a gentleman’s pass. It’s fun, but better are: Worricker, The Ipcress File, or A Spy Among Friends.

It's a great contemporary entrée to Forsyth’s 1973 classic with the great Edward Fox. On a par with Le Carré’s passable Night Manager (BBC, 2016).
